Coinbase has introduced an exciting tool in its digital collectibles marketplace known as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
This new feature, named “Instamint,” allows users to craft their NFTs using artificial intelligence (AI) directly on the platform.
For a limited time, Coinbase is offering this service for free to create NFT transactions. However, users will be required to cover Ethereum gas fees, necessary for processing transactions on the blockchain. Currently, the feature is in the testing phase (beta version).
To make their personalized NFT, users just need to upload an image that will be used to generate the token. With that, they also need to provide a name and description for the NFT and set a price (starting from $0.01) according to their preference.
Coinbase has also joined the trend of integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies within cryptocurrency exchanges Binance introduced its AI NFT generator Bicasso last year enabling users to craft custom digital art by submitting text or images.
This strategic decision highlights the crypto industry’s dedication to leveraging the capabilities of AI, marking 2023 as a year where AI significantly influences NFT platforms.
